L ainformación en un Sea Waybill y en un Bill of Lading es esencialmente la misma. El hecho que un B/L sirva para retirar mercancías y cobrar la carta de crédito y el otro no sea requerido para ello, no distingue el propósito de ser documentos que justifican el origen, presencia en el buque y destino de las mercancías. Los dos son conocimientos de embarque.
