It is considered that the port will experience serious operating difficulties when about 1 million m3 have accumulated in the port. The sand accumulates first around the breakwater head allowing wave refraction instead of wave diffraction to take place,

Two options can be identified, dredged material to be deposited off-shore at some 5 Km North of the port in water deeper than MLWS-8m, and sand to be ***rain bowed*** to the shore area at some 5Km North of the port. |
