Action research project results could be read two ways.
One could be associating “action” to “results” that is, actions to be taken as derived from the research project results in which case the correct translation would be “Plan de acción resultante del proyecto de investigación” or any other along these lines that conveys such meaning.
However, as you say this is the title of a thesis on NGO Governance I think this may have to do with the “type of research”. Action research thus refers here to a research strategy, that is practical, field, in-situ research as opposed to “lab” research in which case we´re referring in Spanish to investigación de campo participativa and the term that best describes it was given by Kurt Lewis back in 1944 “investigación -acción”.
