En un ensayo sobre la sodiedad consumista, se dice:

"And these two features provide the most obvious connection with the larger culture as well as providing the basis for the claim that modem consumerism rests on metaphysical assumptions."

No veo a qué se refiere con este "larger culture", no hay ninguna otra referencia en todo el capítulo, ni tampoco evidencia de con qué se está comparando (ni siquiera en la descripción de las "two features" mencionadas), ¿podría tratarse de una expresión acuñada? ¿Alguna idea?
