Hola a todos:
Busqué esa palabra en diferentes sitios y con un buscador y no aparece. Este es el enlace donde está la palabra. Está en la página 3 en el párrafo que empieza: "Y si bien... (termina)ni es nada!". ¿Puede ser el caso de que el autor haya inventado la palabra? ¿Qué se hace en esta situación?

Explanation:
Creo que el autor acuñó este término concreto, pero partiendo de otro término existente, "cuantofrenia" (en inglés "quantophrenia"), empleado por el sociólogo Pitirim Sorokin en su libro Fads and Foibles in Modern Sociology. Como bien dice Andrés, el contexto es la polémica en torno a la sociología cuantitativa:

"As is well known, Sorokin devotes a considerable portion of his book Fads and Foibles in Modern Sociology to an attack on "quantophrenia," or an uncritical devotion to faulty statistics"

Al añadir el prefijo "micro", se intensifica el efecto satírico, insinuando la idea de una minuciosidad obsesiva.
