Me parece que en Mex. se usa "chamacos", como lo seal Octavio. Por otro lado, "parents" incluira tambin a las mams, no slo a los paps, o slo se habla de hombres/adolescentes?
The thing, in my opinion, is that, although you know this title refers to adult males too, the title says "boys" (and not "men"). It could have said "men," but for some reason "boys" was chosen (maybe because men who use violence are, in a way, boys...?)
I want to make clear that this includes FATHERS. In my view, "chicos", "chamacos", "ninos", is just for teens. Is the term "varones" commonly used in Mexico? So far, I like David's answer the best, "hombres" in the sense of "male".
George, con respecto a tu comentario de que "chicos" se refiere a varones, no es siempre as. En Arg. si decs "Tens chicos?", te refers a varones o mujeres. Si decs "mis chicos tal cosa", te refers a hijos e hijas. Creo que para diferenciar bien
