En Argentina, así le decimos a los partidos que no están dentro del fixture de un torneo ocompetencia oficial. Si el texto trata sobre la organización de partidos de fútbol en los barrios (neighbourhoods), le decimos "picaditos",i.e, los vecinos del lugar se juntan en algún lote/terreno baldío a jugar fútbol como entretenimiento (no hay una competencia organizada)

Sé que dice "challenge" - pero este tipo de "challenge" no es un reto, ni desafío, etc., porque es competencia de deportes.

"backyard" para jugar es el jardín trasero, o, aunque obviamente tiene pasto o césped, en Cuba, por ejemplo, y en Miami, se dice "patio trasero" y no implica que tiene cemento. "fondo" también se usa en algunas partes para referirse a "backyard"
