Muerte súbita en tenis (tie-break)

Para ganar un set uno de los jugadores ha de tener una ventaja de dos o más juegos frente al otro jugador, de modo que si un jugador o pareja ha ganado seis juegos frente a cinco juegos del otro jugador o pareja, el juego continúa hasta conseguir la diferencia de dos puntos en uno de los bandos.

Puede ocurrir que ambos lados tengan seis juegos y en este caso se utilizaría un sistema de desempate llamado «muerte súbita» (tie-break).

En este sistema (tie-break) El servidor sirve el primer punto, luego servirá, el adversario 2º y 3º, cambiando cada dos, gana el jugador que alcance siete puntos con una ventaja de al menos dos sobre el oponente. Si esto no ocurre se prosigue con este sistema hasta que se obtenga una ventaja de dos puntos.

Lalo Munoz Muerte súbita es un desempate a un tanto, gol, etc. de dif. cuando uno de los contendientes anota primero. Recordar del famoso "gol de oro" en fútbol. En tenis esto no existe. Se desempata buscando dif. de dos tantos sobre un mínimo de siete jugados. Tiebrake=desempate

Yes  Pedro Rodríguez: Sí, yo dejaría tie-brak. Es lo más habitual. En español, no es raro usar este tipo de términos sin traducir: "ace" para punto de saque directo, "break" para rotura del servicio...

No  Lalo Munoz: Muy rico el castellano para usar términos foráneos. En CUALQUIER juego en que se pueda empatar, siempre decimos que se DESEMPATA. Tie=empate. Brake=romper. En castellano: deshacer el empate, ergo, DESEMPATAR. En este caso no traducir sino interpretar.
