No sé nada de hipismo, pero creo que un 'fast closer' es un caballo que conserva muy bien su energía para la última parte de la carrera y en ese sector hace la diferencia. Encontré estas definiciones y links que pueden ser útiles:
Closer - A horse that runs best in the latter part of the race (closing race), coming from off the pace.
Closer – a horse that saves its energy for the last leg of the race. A closer has more chances of winning a race wherein the other horses expend all their energy early on.
