English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Sports / Fitness / Recreation | | English term or phrase: aggregate tied | Best Answer - Chosen by Asker
Well the Champions league think that away goals matter because to score away or win away is harder than at home because you travelled to get there.
Aggregate is there since it is not fair to have only one game at only one teams home to get them knocked out so aggregate is there for gap.
So bascially is Inter won 3-1 against barcelona
Barcelona would have to win by a gap of by aggreagte. If Barcelona win 2-0 at Camp Nou, the agregate or total of all the goals scored in a game is counted. A 2-0 or 3-1 or 4-2 so on would make the aggregate tied so then away goals are then calculated. If Barcelona win 2-0 to make aggregate 3-3 barcelona win on away goals 1-0. If they 3-1, they will be tied aggregate 3-3 and tied away goals 1-1 triggering extra time and then a penalty shootout. If they win 4-2 the aggregate is tied 5-5 but they lose on away goals 1-2 so Inter go to the final. That is how aggregate and away goals work. I hope that helps. |
