Hello everyone! It has been a really long time. Hope you are doing just fine.

Looking for some golfers out there who can tell me:
-what a PGA championship golf course is
-what is the correct denomination in Spanish (Spain).

I have read about golf courses but still can't figure out what is so special about this golf cours.

Here's the reference sentence "it's luxury hotel with its own PGA Championship golf course..."

Podría ser uno de los campos donde se juega el Campeonato de la PGA.

Pero probablemente se trate de un campo turístico construido conforme a las especificadiones de la PGA.
En ese caso debes traducirlo por "Campo de golf de competición PGA"

PGA is the Professional Golf Association.
In Spanish, you would normally use Asociación de Profesionales de Golf, though I have also seen Asociación de Profesionales del Golf and Asociación de Golfistas Profesionales. My suggestion would be to check Professional Golf pages in Argentina (Profesionales de Golf de Argentina.org).

"torneos de PGA", I believe, would not include the article before PGA, as "A" does not refer to Association but to Argentina (torneos profesionales de Profesionales de Golf de Argentina). You should check if your organization prefers torneo or campeonato.

Mariela, si te ayuda, la PGA organiza torneos/campeonatos (tourments) en distintos campos. Y reconoce/acredita campos de golf en distintos países si cumplen los requisitos de la PGA. He encontrado un texto donde se ofrece otra versión:

Calidona y la PGA Europea, firmaban el pasado enero un acuerdo de colaboración por el cual los campos de Calidona albergarían las primeras academias y campos de golf de la PGA en Europa Continental.

O quizás puedes utilizar la idea de "reconocido" (campo de golf reconocido por la PGA). si no te gusta demasiado el "certificado", pero que transmite la idea de que se ha realizado un proceso de selección y verificación de condiciones del campo que ha satisfecho los requisitos de la PGA.
