Note: in Argentina "pinza pelacables" is used but it sounds a bit colloquial. Other suggestions, colegas hispanohablantes? By the way, is "GB" a brand name?

Desnudar cables


Explanation:
Es como lo traducen en el Diccionario Politécnico EN>ES de F. Beigbeder. Quizás sea el término más correcto y universal para los países de habla hispana. Aquí en Venezuela se usa usa ese término, aunque también algunos dicen "pelar cables". Esto último no es muy castizo pues los cables no tienen pelos. Espero sea de ayuda.

En España los mecánicos utilizan la palabra "pelacables" sin más para referirse a esta herramienta ("un pelacables"), aunque "pinza pelacables" se entiende también.

Muy buena la observación de leomar. El idioma está lleno de sorpresas y paradojas. Nunca me había fijado en que, en efecto, los cables no tienen pelos.
