The recent corporate identity design by Mr Scott for management group Change Management International uses the reverse side of the business cards to print a thought provoking quote: "A ship is safe in harbour, but that's not what ships are for".
Mr Scott explains: "We plan six different quotes to use in different situations. The idea is that on the one hand, this is a very professional and slick company that inspires confidence, and on the reverse side, a challenge to the norm one of the roles of the company."
He believes that business cards are used slightly differently these days. "So much information is created electronically now that we tend to make more of the business card. People still appreciate having a distinct piece of design with the tactility paper brings." Curtis Fine Papers makes a number of papers suitable for business cards in its Classic, Conservation, Retreeve and other branded paper ranges.
