ojos de buey planos Explanation: Never heard of a "window" on a seagoing craft, but this seems to be a special circumstance. I would bet there is no established terminology for this in English, that they invented "flat windows" themselves to differentiate them from the normal portholes along the bulkheads. Therefore, it probably would be okay for you to put together whatever Spanish term conveys the meaning. ventanas planas Explanation: It is the context what makes difficult to adopt such a simplistic translation. However if it barks and has 4 legs ... In aeronautics and underwater sub-construction, windows are typically rounded or conic because of the pressure. Flat windows are uncommon. In this case the text refers to a new underwater technology on extending the design life - not tested in real world application- up to 20,000 cycles, being a cycle one inmmersion. |
