Esta es la traducción usada en el manual en castellano de mi "wireless communication handset" (un Ericsson).

Microteléfono (también handset) es la parte por la que uno escucha y habla en un teléfono normal, no es la traducción válida para un dispositivo inalámbrico.

En la actualidad hay un importante desarrollo del manejo de paquetes IP (Internet) sobre teléfonos celulares (la famosa convergencia de medios, que finalmente está llegando)
