Derecho de paso Explanation: Right of way es "derecho de paso" que en una highway se refiere a la precedencia de transito propio de la vía. Que una tubería esté situada dentro del derecho de paso dependerá de la interpretación del resto del texto. |

Strange! Explanation: (Yield) right of way = Ceder el paso This is a STRANGE adjective to describe a part of a highway! I can't figure out what the ST is trying to say: http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.dot.ca.gov/hq/row/ ... However, a wild guess, based on the info in the above site, is that the right of way refers to the part of the highway where the highway traffic has right of way, i.e the highway-highway and not exits etc |

el área de "ceda el paso" Explanation: "La tubería (tubo) está colocada dentro del área de "ceda el paso" de la autopista". "Ceda el paso" is the noun phrase for "right of way". I doubt the pipe is inside the sign so it must be talking about the area where the sign is located, the limit point where cars must halt or slow down. However, it could also be...a "pedestrian pass" ("paso de peatones" or "paso cebra"! That's also a right of way area, but I don't think any highways (motorways) have them, not a ped would survive...unless that that "highway" is actually a "main road"...if so, you may also change "highway" for "carretera". Link below shows the Spanish Traffic Department writing ceda el paso with the "..." Hope it helps, good luck :) shorter oxford, larousse espaol, collins sp-eng Reference: http://www.dgt.es/legislacion/5.56.html |

vea abajo Explanation: \"What is Right of Way? In the strict sense of the word, right of way refers to the land on which infrastructure is built. Infrastructure could be anything from a highway to an airport. Projects such as pipelines, power lines, or telephone facilities all require right of way. Generally speaking, the term right of way is used to describe the industry as a whole and the professionals who are involved in it. There are many areas of specialization in right of way to include acquisition and negotiation, property management, relocation, appraisal, title, surveying, engineering, attorneys, and records management. There are a number of related industries and professionals whose responsibilities overlap right of way. Some of these areas include soil and water conservation, construction, mineral leasing (landman), telecommunications, environmental consultants, title abstracting, and mapping.\" This is from www.rightofway.com.
