English term or phrase: Java challenged browser
"If you are seeing this message, you are using a Java challenged browser. To learn more about Java-capable browsers, please click HERE now."
Hello, I'm editing this translation. The translator proposed "está utilizando un explorador requerido para Java", but I think "challenged" can be expressed in a better and more accurate way. Any suggestions? They should make the distinction between Java challenged and Java-capable browsers.
Explorador incompatible con Java y explorador compatible con Java
A "Java challenged browser" is a browser that can't display or show Java applets. Some graphical browser and earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape are "Java challenged browsers". If you want to see those Java applets, you have to use a "Java enabled (or capable) browser", that is, a browser compatible with Java.
Thus, "Java capable browser" = explorador compatible con Java, and "Java challenged browser", "explorador incompatible con Java".
Hope it helps!
