English term or phrase: striking off
Once you have rolled a surface, come back and do what is called "striking off."
That means, with your roller, take one long stroke beginning at the top and going all the way to the bottom.

El empapelado tras los radiadores es difícil. Lo mejor es cortar el papel a cintas. Si el radiador está colgado de la pared, córtalas de modo que coincidan con los soportes e introdúcelas una a una con ayuda del rodillo.

Si has empapelado una habitación donde habitualmente se forma vapor, cuando acabes, pinta con un barniz transparente todas las junturas del papel y así evitarás que se despegue por efecto de la humedad.

PARA EL PAPEL TERCIOPELO Y METALIZADO, PEGUE PONIENDO UN PAPEL DE SEDA ENTRE EL RODILLO Y EL PAPEL.

- Marque la parte de arriba y la de abajo del paño con el dorso de las tijeras.

- Despegue ligeramente el papel de la pared, corte lo que sobra con las tijeras siguiendo el trazado dejado por la punta de las tijeras.

- También se puede cortar el papel con la cuchilla tomando como guía una espátula de enlucir (2).
