English term or phrase: form-factors and others
I would be very grateful to whoever can help me with a text related to computer encryption en hardware. It says "Choice of form-factors; Fast SCSI-2 bus/CD-ROM drive 5.25" form-factor fits inside the standard server enclosure or rack; short-form PCI card fits standard PCI expansion bus slots"
My main problem in this context are "form-factors", "short-form", "rack"

Also in the subject there is:
key signing
biometric hardware (hardware biométrico?)

Thanks a lot in advance!

form-factors = dispositivos índice
Explanation:
Hi,

El 'rack' es un bastidor si has traducido 'enclosure' como carcasa (i.e. el inglés 'housing'). Se están refiriendo al lugar físico en el cual se ha colocado el servidor.

form-factors = dispositivos índice
short-form = formato corto (ver sitio Web: http://www.abcnet.es/notasinf/441-1307.html)

hardware biométrico suena bien. Ver sitios Web: http://www.inredvzla.com/acceso.shtml
Parece que también se usa sistema biométrico en vez de hardware.

key signing

What is key signing?
OK, you just got a copy of John Smith's public encryption key. How do you know that the key really belongs to John Smith and not to some impostor? The answer to this is key signatures. They are similar to message signatures in that they can't be forged. Let's say that you don't know that you have John Smith's real key. But let's say that you DO have a trusted key from Joe Blow. Let's say that you trust Joe Blow and that he has added his signature to John Smith's key. By inference, you can now trust that you have a valid copy of John Smith's key. That is what key signing is all about. This chain of trust can be carried to several levels, such as A trusts B who trusts C who trusts D, therefore A can trust D. You have control in the PGP configuration file over exactly how many levels this chain of trust is allowed to proceed.

Saludos y ¡buena suerte!
