Hola Gente!

Estoy traduciendo unas instrucciones de instalación y uso de un anclaje de seguridad (esos aparatos de los que se cuelga la gente para trabajar en las alturas) y tengo un problema con el término "ridge" en esta frase.

"In order to find the rafter or truss center, removal of the ridge and all layers of roofing membranes will be required".

Mi problema es que encontré que ridge podía ser viga, y en vista de que aquí el párrafo indica que hay que quitar el/la "ridge" y demás capas de la cubierta, se me hace un poco extraño eso de tener que quitar una viga.

¿Alguien puede ayudarme?
