Podría ser, pero es casi una definición. Quizás es mejor sin traducir y poner esta traducción como nota al pié. Tambien es posible no incluir la palabra altavoz y solamente decir: Atenuador de (sonidos) graves. Espero sea de ayuda.

Por lo menos en México el término no se traduce. De hecho si lo traduces, es posible que no se entienda.
