Baterías selladas, de electrolito absorbido Explanation: This is the technical/commercial name we use in Argentina. It's also correct to say "baterías selladas con placas de fibra de vidrio absorbentes" (but it's no so usual). Actually, the electrolyte (acid) is "absorbed" in the fiber-glass mats. There are two main types of sealed lead-acid batteries: one is the above-mentioned, and the other is the "gel type" (gelled electrolyte). HTH. |
