see below Explanation: From the Microsoft Eng->Span Glossary, I have: status bar - barra de estado on-screen display - presentación en pantalla ICC aware devices - looking under Acronym.com, there are many refs to ICC, however comparing this results with other web sites, see below, the only reference they have is to "IC card". Thus ICC=integrated circuit card, PC card, or smart card (defn.): "A small electronic device about the size of a credit card that contains electronic memory, and possibly an embedded integrated circuit (IC). Smart cards containing an IC are sometimes called Integrated Circuit Cards (ICCs). Smart cards are used for a variety of purposes, including: Storing a patient's medical records Storing digital cash; Generating network IDs (similar to a token); To use a smart card, either to pull information from it or add data to it, you need a smart card reader, a small device into which you insert the smart card." Here, device is mentioned. Therefore, I would suggest that the "ICC aware devices" is a device able to read or that is used to read the smart/PC cards. According to EuroDictAutom: http://eurodic.ip.lu/cgi-bin/edicbin/EuroDicWWW.pl IC acrd/smart card= tarjeta inteligente, therefore: ICC aware devices= dispositivos capaces de leer las tarjetas inteligentes I hope this helps! ICC Explanation: I am sorry but I do not agree with the previous answer about "ICC". ICC = International Color Consortium, and ICC aware refers to the colorimetric support. So may be it could be translated as: ICC aware = compatible con ICC If you look in the Internet for "ICC profiles" you will find many Web sites dedicated to this subject. |
