A los santos ProZ que me vienen ayudando: como es la primera vez que pregunto no sé cómo hacer para agradecerles a medida que voy recibiendo respuestas, y me voy a volver loca para decidir a quién dar los puntos. Estoy leyendo todas las respuestas y los sites (madre mía!) que me mandaron. Cuando termine con la traducción (o la traducción termine conmigo) veo cómo hago.
Mientras tanto, una pregunta más que me quedó un poco escondida, qué es esto del jack-knifed mode?
"If the articulating rams are always applying differing thrust or there is disproportional wear on the TBM, or there is a reduction of the clearance between the TBM tail and the ring segments ("steering gap") in the tunnel invert the TBM is probably operating in a "Jack-Knifed" mode straining the propulsion."

¡Pobrecita! La verdad es que NO TENGO NI IDEA de cómo es tu máquina y sólo estoy imaginándomela por el extracto. Pero es perfectamente posible que alguna articulación cause resistencia de una manera inadvertida.
