English term or phrase: aero-derivative gas turbine
The Windsor plant uses a high-efficiency, aero-derivative gas turbine generator. (El término se refiere específicamente a la turbina a gas). Encontré "turbina a gas autoderivada", pero no sé lo que significa. http://www.pasch.es/noticstart.html----

Spanish translation:Turbina a gas con componentes aerodinamicos comunes.
Explanation:
Derivative:
Copied or adapted from others.
My opinion:
Aero-derivative: With aerodinamic components derived from other designs.
In this case [my guess], it points to a 'derived' design, or sharing identical parts with other designs.

Iván, You are a very bright guy. I like your reasoning it agrees with what I found in the following website: "... an intercooled aeroderivative industrial gas turbine that is based on a commercial aircraft engine (PW8160)...". In fact, this particular gas turbine was derived from one used for a commercial aircraft engine. I found the terms "turbina a gas aeroderivada" in a few Spanish websites and that's the term I used.... www.netl.doe.gov/publications/press/2000/tl_turbine_nextgen.html
