Explanation:
Originariamente fabricado en las islas Normandas(precisamente en a isla de Jersey)para los trajes de los pescadores.Hoy se usa para cada tipo de confeccion de malla sacada de tejido cortado.Se denominan asi todos esos tejidos producidos sobre maquinas monofonturas;la malla que sale,comunemente llamada "alisada",puede ser:lisa,jacquard,labrada,para felpa visible "tipo Pirineos",para felpa invisible,para toalla,ecc.


Si el término "jersey" no te gusta, siempre puedes usar un término más global, "malla".
