Explanation: Well I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the twist! I'm finding hits on twisted lady in comic style publications, avatar stuff etc - but I don't think it's enough to say that the name "twisted lady" refers specifically to some character or other, but rather in more general terms to someone who is not as obvious as you might think, more complicated under an apparent "Normal" surface image etc etc. Rather unexpected to find it as a positive quality, but it certainly seems to be!

| Reference: twisted lady
Reference information: "Twisted lady" parece referirse a un "look" muy concreto: top muy ajustado, cinturón muy estrecho, falda con volantes voluminosos, estilo general de una mujer peligrosa de dibujos animados o videojuego japoneses:
"In true twisted lady fashion, feminine frocks of voluminous 80s-inspired silhouettes including poofy bubble skirts and dresses with rock-n-roll confetti prints"

"This dress is called “Twisted Lady” and the color you see here is exclusively designed for the JRF Event. The dress is made of soft Latex and lace for the sexy women among us and the ruffles on the skirt looks really cute as well. The beautiful lace collar with ruffles also includes with this dress. The strings on the chest is definitely an eye catcher and an amazing detail for this dress."

Por otra parte, se emplea la expresión "twisted lady look" para denotar un perfil muy esbelto con el cinturón muy ajustado. Así los arquitectos describen la Torre Guangzhou:
"the tightening in the middle of the structure is caused by the rotation between the two ellipses which form the characterizing “waistline” of the tower; because of this shape the tower is often dubbed as the “supermodel” or “twisted lady” and as Mark Hemel stated: “Most skyscrapers bear male features, they’re introverted, rectangular, and repetitive”, so “We wanted a female tower that is complex, transparent, curvy, and gracious”

"The shape was developed by imagining that the two ovals were connected by straight lines, forming a cylinder which narrowed, after which the ovals were twisted 35º relative to each other.
"Hence the twisted lady look," says Arup director Man Kang. Arup's London office collaborated on the Ghangzhou project with Information Based Architecture (IBA) of Amsterdam, for which the tower is a first major project."
