English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems (Sistema Automatizado de Almacenaje/Recuperacion)
English term or phrase:Truck staging
This text is in a brochure of Automated Storage/Retrieval System.
As part of one of the offered layouts for storage of merchandise, a system called "Flow-Through" offers to provide "TRUCK STAGING".
It reads like this:
"When to use Flow-Through:
For companies where high throughput rates are couple with strict adherence to the First-In, First-Out principle.
This system (Flow-Through Storage Layout), is also used to provide TRUCK STAGING and to meet other types of bugger storage requirements".
This is the only meaningful definition I have found (in this context, of course).
It seems that (in all languages, unfortunately), there are people who confound "specialised" with "hermetic", and this is a case in point, in my view (and I wonder also what on earth is "BUGGER storage" here. A typo for "BUFFER?). As it is, educated guesswork is mandatory here:
Well, with the above definition I see no other possibility than "to designate a place for loading a truck", that is, to designate a specific loading bay for a specific truck", that is, a truck whose delivery schedule is known to include the place to which the given load is to be sent".
If so, the translation is the one above.
And, please, let me know what "bugger storage" means...

"bugger" might after all be a typo for "buffer". "f" and "g" are side by side in the keyboard...
'truck staging' is only mentioned once throughout the brochure, and no more explanation is given; however, let me provide more text prior to the one provided above.
"Flow-Through Storage Layout
Function:
Storage and retrieval of unit loads by inserting them into one side of a powered or a gravity flow system and simultaneously retrieving them on the opposite side.
When to use Flow-Through:...."(text given above continues)
Then, it changes to a different topic.
I hope this extra info helps. Thank you for trying to help me obtain an answer to this one.

The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to.
The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability.
Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
