Science - Zoology / Ornithology-Migrant Birds | | English term or phrase: staging area | | These are areas where migrant birds make a brief stop to rest and feed. This is the complete sentence: "Along the flyway, others are trying to protect critical feeding and staging areas for the [bird]." A few days ago (same translation), a knowledgeable translator who knew her ornithology was able to confirm that winter and summer quarters were indeed "cuarteles." Can I use the same word here, or is it something different? Many thanks in advance to all. |
