interam mat Interammatta Explanation: Interam verkar vara ett varumärke som tillhör Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co. "Preferred commercially available intumescent sheets and mats includes those sold under the INTERAM™ tradename by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co. of St. Paul, Minn. The intumescent sheet materials are made using well known papermaking techniques." (http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/6923942/description.html) Lite osäker på om det kanske bör vara ett bindestreck mellan "Interam" och "matta". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day3 hrs (2008-08-28 23:07:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I don't know. It is just that when I google for "interam mat", I get several results indicating that it is a trademark of MMM. I guess it is possible for "your company" to manufacture a Catalytic Converter while buying this particular component (or material for a component) from MMM. Possibly, Interam mat may have become so established as the name of a particular type of component/material that other manufacturers have started to produce their own "interam mats" (similar to the way Jeans once was a trademark but now just means a particular type of fabric or style of pants). However, this does not seem likely since the name appears to be trademark protected. What I would do in your situation is to highlight this particular phrase in some color and then make sure to make a comment about it when you deliver the translation, indicating that you (if this is the case) interpret this component to refer to the so-called Interam mat produced by MMM (or possibly a similar product by another manufacturer, in which case it should be spelled in small letters (i.e. "interammatta" instead of "Interammatta")...). |
