§ 3. 1. Total vehicle mass, the distribution of mass on the axle and the amount of mass per axle shall not exceed maximum values defined by the vehicle manufacturer or indicated in the base chassis. If it necessary to convert the steering system of the vehicle or of the base chassis the permissible technical parameter values, as defined by manufacturers concerning the application of steering system components, cannot be exceeded.
2. In vehicles with caterpillar track steering systems:
1) caterpillar track pressure between the outermost tread discs cannot exceed 40 kN (4 t) per 1 m. For semi-caterpillar track mechanisms or with the application of two caterpillars, one after the other, pressure cannot exceed 60 kN (6 t), on condition that the distance between the middle of the contact surface with the road of the first caterpillar or of the front axle wheels and the middle of the contact surface with the road of the second caterpillar is at least 3 m;
2) caterpillars cannot have sharp edges or shall be fitted with appropriate protective covers.

W przypadku konieczności przebudowy układu jezdnego pojazdu lub podwozia bazowego nie mogą zostać przekroczone określone przez producentów zastosowanych elementów układu jezdnego dopuszczalne wartości parametrów technicznych.
2. W pojazdach z gąsienicowym układem jezdnym:
1) nacisk gąsienicy między skrajnymi krążkami bieżnymi nie może przekraczać 40 kN (4 t) na 1 m. Przy mechanizmie półgąsienicowym lub przy zastosowaniu dwóch gąsienic, jedna za drugą, nacisk ten nie może przekraczać 60 kN (6 t), pod warunkiem że odległość pomiędzy środkami powierzchni styku z jezdnią pierwszej gąsienicy lub kół przedniej osi a środkami powierzchni styku z jezdnią drugiej gąsienicy wynosi co najmniej 3 m;
2) gąsienice nie mogą mieć ostrych krawędzi lub muszą posiadać odpowiednie nakładki ochronne.
