Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general) | | English term or phrase: be committed to | Jag är mest nyfiken på hur ni andra skulle översätta det här uttrycket, som ju förekommer ganska ofta i olika företags uttalanden om sina policies.
T.ex. följande från ett visst företags (XXX nedan) Code of Ethics:
"XXX is committed to carry out its activities in full respect
of the environment and human health, being aware of its
social and ethical responsibilities towards the communities
where it operates and from which it draws resources."
"XXX is furthermore committed to adopt only criteria of merit, work performance and professionalism in all decisions concerning employees’ career development."
Helst ska översättningen av "be committed to" vara förenlig med översättningen av uttryck som "commit (oneself to sg)" "(somebody's) commitment" etc.
T.ex.:
"Our commitment
XXX commits itself to be a quality-focused provider of
products of superior quality... etc."
"Products represent our daily commitment and all our efforts
aim to their improvement."
"In this respect, XXX reaffirms its commitments to operate
within the framework of the United Nations Universal
Declaration of Human Rights... etc." |

commit oneself to: lova.
Reino Havbrandt: "Commitment innehåller en hel del engagemang" Enig! Därför så starkt som "lova/förbinda sig".
'Åtaga sig" är lite för mycket av uttala som sin uppgift att...". Commit är IMHO starkare. |
