English term or phrase: doing a bong
The expression is from a review of the film "Freddy vs Jason", so having seen it might actually help knowing what it is... The full sentence is:

With comical moments like Freddy playing pinball with Jason’s body, or doing a bong with one of the kids, it certainly has all the elements of a spoof.

röker gräs i vattenpipa
Explanation:
That's what i means literally, but maybe you can think of a more "slangy" way to say it.

Smoking mary jane

Explanation:
I don't know the target language so I can't give a target word for it. But doing bong is smoking marijuana using bong, a waterpipe-like apparatus designed specifically for this purpose. Is Freddy smoking pot with a kid in the movie?

röka en holk

Explanation:
is the slangy and most common way of saying it, although a bong is actually a water pipe, smoking one of those or any sort of reference to marijuana or hash is fine, depending on the tone of the rest of the text.

neutral  EKM: I think it is better to be quite specific. "röka en holk" normally, but not always, refers to cupping your hands around a joint, pressing your lips against your thumbs and inhaling between them, but it *may* also be used as a general reference.

röka en bong

Explanation:
"röker på" is another option, which doesn't take the bong (=waterpipe, like Anette says) into account, it is just a general phrase meaning "to smoke weed".

If you want to use Swedish potsmoker slang, then \"klippa en hövding\" is my personal favourite, meaning \"to smoke pot\".

Older Swedish words for hash pipe are \"tjolabong\" and \"tjobang\" (used for waterpipes and \"dry\" pipes alike).
