English term or phrase: oral comprehension
Does anyone know of a good way to say this in Swedish? A search through my dictionary didn't lead to anything conclusive. Am trying to convey in a letter how I've been listening to Spanish-language radio in an effort to boost my oral comprehension of that language. Any help greatly appreciated.

hörförståelse
Explanation:
I would say that "hörförståelse" is the common word, at least when doing language tests.

neutral  Folke A. Nettelblad: Always called "hörförståelse" in the standardprov, centralprov and nationella prov in Swedish schools. And Google seems to favour that word by a factor of 700.

som motsatts till det "skrivna ordet" då.
talat vi om ett prov så är det ett hörförtåelseprov.
Googla "verbala förtåelse" så för du fler åsikter...
