slöja

Explanation:
Just another suggestion based on the discussion and the search for a versatile term for use in compound word formations. "Slöja" would cover the aspects of being thin, filmy and light and could be used to describe manmade materials as well as nature scenes: tyllslöja, brudslöja, sorgslöja, filmslöja, rökslöja, molnslöja. There are also some interesting words based on the noun or the verb, sometimes specifically in connection with a cobweb-like appearance, such as slöjmoln (tunt, lätt moln), slöjstjärt (akvariefisk med slöjliknande stjärtfenor), and slöjskivling (typ av skivling vars hatt är försedd med tunna, spindelvävsliknande trådar). The two forms of the verb, slöja and beslöja, and the two adjectives beslöjad and slöjig (något som har en gråaktig beläggning, framförallt om foto) add to the versatility of this term.

Just to clarify: I wrote my suggestion based on the discussion and the noun, slöja, but the request was for an adjective, which would then be slöj- or slöjliknande.
