For reference: ARBITRAGE REBATE – A payment made by an issuer to the federal government in connection with an issue of tax-exempt bonds. The payment represents the amount, if any, of arbitrage earnings on bond proceeds and certain other related funds, except for earnings that are not required to be rebated under limited exemptions provided under the Internal Revenue Code. An issuer generally is required to calculate, once every five years during the life of its bonds, whether or not an arbitrage rebate payment must be made.

Arbitrage är vad kunden betalar och utifrån vad du skriver betalar den som utfärdar obligationen en summa till staten för dessa skattebefriade investeringar. På något sätt ska det alltså räknas ut om kunden betalat rätt arbitrage (utifrån vilka parametrar vet jag dock inte), eller om någon del under perioden ska återföras till kunden.
