Teller's check not the same as cashier's check 14:45 Feb 28, 2011
"Postväxel" is the correct translation for cashier's check, but a teller's check is not the same as a cashier's check. A teller's check involves two different banks. Teller's check: a check written by a bank/financial institution on funds from an account at another bank/financial institution and signed by a teller at the first bank/financial institution. Cashier's check: check written by bank/financial institution on its own funds and signed by the bank's cashier. See e.g. BusinessDictionary.com. Utlandscheck might work if it is an international check, but it may just be a check involving two Swedish banks. I have not been able to find the correct Swedish term myself. |
