Explanation:
Jag tolkar det som att de menar "common equity" i betydelsen vanligt eget capital, alltså en vanlig aktieinvestering, och kontrasterar det med en produkt innehållande "preferred equity", det vill säga preferensaktier / hybridkapital (som ju får utdelning före vanliga aktier, och alltså är mindre riskfylld). I detta sammanhang skulle jag säga aktie istället for eget kapital.
