Kanske alternativt "talisman":

Talisman är ett "invigt föremål" eller en "magisk bild" som anses vara fyllt av kraft och skall skänka ägaren lycka. Däremot bärs amuletter för att avvärja olycka.

Explanation:
In Swedish, as the other entries also states, we tend to give these things we carry with us for good luck to receive some slightly less "magic" names, like charms. Instead they are often talked about as our mascot (SWE: maskot), but that acvtually means the same. They are brought to games and to school for tests in order to bring luck.

När Adam fick veta att jag inte hade någon speciell maskot, erbjöd han sig hjältemodigt att ställa upp.(context: eurovision song contest and no mascot for the finals)
