The Swedish version of the Opera browser has "Sänd referensinformation" in its preferences dialog.

I'm sure you know that referrer is the originating URL that contains a HTML link. This information may be sent to a server along with the query asking for the content of the link. The server serving the link can use the information to track link originators, visitor stats etc.
