When futures prices for deferred contract maturities are higher than for nearby maturities, it is a carrying charge market. A full carrying charge market reimburses the owner of the physical commodity for its storage until the delivery date. |

Efter att ha sökt runt ett tag hittade jag följande översättning hos logistikföreningen PLAN:

Carrying charge = lagerhållningsränta
Stämmer nog i och med att kostnaden ska bestå av ränta, lagerhållning och försäkring.

Nedan är en beskrivning på "carrying costs":
Lagerhållningskostnader omfattar alla de kostnader som hänger samman med och som uppstår genom att man lagerhåller artiklar. De består av kapitalkostnader, kostnader för lagerlokaler, kostnader för hanteringsutrustning, lagerhyllor, ställage o dyl, hanteringskostnader, försäkringskostnader, kostnader för värdeminskning, inventeringskostnader, administrativa kostnader, databehandlingskostnader och personalkostnader.
I en del fall inkluderas inte de investeringskostnader och riskkostnader som är förknippade med att artiklar lagras. Dessa kostnader kallas då lagerföringskostnader.
Carrying charge är något annat och betyder lagerhållningsränta.
