Choice of law means a contractual agreement that a certain jurisdiction's law will govern a contract, etc.
Conflict of law is a statutory provision courts use to determine which jurisdiction's laws to apply.
In Swedish, both these are called LAGVAL. Generally, when there is a choice of law provision, courts will often enforce it, even though a different law might be applied under the conflict of laws statute.
