For a charity established in the main by wealthy individuals, XXX has a quite woeful record of major gift fundraising. The history of major giving at XXX is littered with failed and abandoned initiatives. Any attempt to take major giving forward in the organisation needs to understand and overcome the barriers which have prevented this form of fundraising flourishing here. Lack of whole organisation ***buy in***, lack of product for donors and poor relationship management have consistently undermined previous major gift initiatives.
