During initial running in period the drive ropes are liable to stretch and should therefore be retensioned when the booms are extended such that the catenary is approximately 5-10 m.m. for each cable (4 cables on intermediate boom and 2 cables on front boom).
Power Boom/Front Boom: Check as above, also check for signs of wear on the HDP guide wheel situated at the rear of the intermediate boom. (Är även tacksam för synpunkter på vad HDP kan betyda.)
With the booms extended check if any sign of wear are visible in the flexible chain link trunking, i.e. twisting or damage, if so it is recommended that the assembly be renewed or repaired immediately.
Belt drive at rear of main casing, boom drive at RH. side near the front, and each side at the rear, power raise and lower at the front.
Ensure that the belt is running true and not veering to one side when running forward and/or reverse, this is best done with the booms fully extended.
