English to Swedish translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals | | English term or phrase: Line of therapy | Recalling the initial response to therapy of your patients with MDD who have predominantly lethargic symptoms, what percentage will progress to the following lines of therapy before you achieve an optimal response for their depressive symptoms? Note: A line of therapy is defined as a change of product (i.e. switching products) OR the addition of another product to an existing one. A good response, defined as: Ability to return to daily activities, enjoying doing things more, sleeping better, eating better. A partial response, defined as: Improvement in symptoms but not to normal levels, some residual symptoms still exist and are still impacting daily life. No response, defined as: Little to no change in the presenting symptoms, daily activities remain significantly altered.
A line of therapy expresses the sequence of therapies a patient undergoes. It does not correspond to a fixed amount of time. Indeed, a patient may be put on Drug A and Drug B for say 38 days as second line of therapy but for say 27 days on Drug A and Drug C still as second line of therapy. Note: in both cases, the patient is started on Drug A as first line of therapy. |

Explanation: ett annat alternativ. Man talar om "första linjens", "andra linjens" (osv) behandlingar exempelvis vid tumörsjukdomar. Mycket vanligt uttryck, man ser det ofta i enkäter till behandlande läkare exempelvis.
