Explanation:
Förening är naturligtvis helt rätt, och man skulle vbehöva se lite mer av text och veta målgrupp för att veta vad som är bäst, men engelsktalande har en benägenhet att använda compound oftare än vad vi använder (kemisk) förening, på ställen där det för oss är naturligare med ämne eller substans (på samma sätt som fransmännen väldigt ofta använder "molécule" i motsvarande sammanhang.
