The placer order number is intended to be used with automatic examination requests for examination units that provide numbers to identify samples. This number is then sent along with the request so that the examination unit can match a sample with the same number to the request it received from XXX. If the system is configured for manual entry of placer order numbers, you can enter the number received from the examination unit manually. The system generates an internal order number for each order, even when it is not configured to use manually entered placer order numbers.
