English term or phrase: You bring me joy
I want this phrase engraved in my future husband's wedding band
Debbie Turley
Du ger mig glädje; Du är min glädje
Explanation:
The two alternatives proffered above may seem to be the same but are not. The first one is a word-by-word translation. It is perfectly useable, but has a wee bit too much sex between the lines for my personal taste (I am very old and conservative!). Back-translation of the second one reads: "You are my joy". I favour that one. It is stronger. Nobody would read anything between the lines.

I wish you happiness!
