it depends on the context: if it's obvious that you're talking about a card game. "hawak" or "baraha" is sufficient. lf not, "hawak na baraha" should be fine: "sa kamay" is redundundant, no? ;) with what else does one "hawak" something?

Thank you for your response. I was thinking of "hawak na baraha sa kamay" but it might be too lengthy to read.
