|English term or phrase: happy birthday|
|It's jsut to write on a birthday card for a filipino friend|
maligayang = from word maligaya ("happy")
kaarawan = birthday ("nativity day")
The Tagalog version of the Happy Birthday song uses "Maligayang Bati"...but that's very confusing since it means "Happy Greeting"
Hope this helps in making your friend real happy on his/her special day...!
